In this retreat, we introduce the 60,000 year-old, earth-honoring tradition of shamanic practice to the modern world. You acquire forgotten knowledge, wisdom, and skills while exploring what it truly means to be human. In this retreat you will:
The essential skill of the shamanic individual. Learn to work with spirit guides and power animals and get tips for using journeying to bring hidden information into your conscious life.
Managing our state of being not only makes shamanic practice more effective, it makes virtually all aspects of life more enjoyable. We learn how to be shamanic anytime, anywhere.
Study the physical and energetic structure of the universe. What are the Upper, Middle, and Lower Worlds? How do shamans dream the world into being? What is the true nature of time?
Living a shamanic life means creating and nurturing relationships with entities in non-ordinary reality. How do you do this? Is it safe? Is it real? How can I use this skill in my life?
We live in a universe built literally out of energy. As an energetic being, what skills are necessary to live a healhy and happy life? How do I protect myself from unhealthy energies?
What is the difference between shrines and altars? How are they used in a shamanic life? What personal ceremonies can enrich my life and improve my connection to spirit?
Just as you can become physically ill by catching a virus, you can become energetically ill without a properly functioning energetic immune system. You learn about and are offered protective shielding.
Drums. Rattles. Bells. Whistles. Pendulums, Dowsing Rods, Stones and other objects found in nature. Shamanic tools, when used in the name of Spirit, become magical implements. You learn about tools and begin using tools for yourself.
Shamans believe that intelligence is present everywhere and in everything. How do you tap in to this omnipresent intelligence? How do you work with this larger community of consciousness?
This course is designed for those looking to quickly become competent in the foundational teachings and skills of shamanism. These are the skills that are the birthright of all humans but have become forgotten, secret knowledge in the modern world. No prior knowledge or experience with shamanism, or any other spiritual tradition, is required.
Upon completion, this course provides a solid foundation for those who wish to practice shamanism for themselves and bring forward the richness of a shamanic life into their own. Further study is required for those who wish to practice for others or become shamanic healers or teachers. We offer a full curriculum for those who have these goals.
The skills taught in this course are the prerequisites for further study with us. Students interested in our intermediate or advanced courses must demonstrate mastery of the topics in this course. This is an ideal introductory or refresher course.
