I'm JP McLaughlin, a Denver, Colorado-based shaman, and an initiated Kuraq Akulleq, a 4th Level Shaman Priest and Wisdomkeeper in the Inca Tradition of the Peruvian Andes. A student of Ginger and Dale Lee of Sacred Ways, John Milton of Way of Nature, and Christina Pratt of Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing, I also hold academic degrees in Business Management and Intellectual History and in addition to my shamanic work I continue to practice as an executive coach. I am an ordained non-denominational minister.
I grew up in the desert Southwest. There, in the quiet solitude of the high desert, I became aware of the presence of intelligent energy in all things. Thus began a lifetime of seeking, exploration, and study of indigenous traditions better able than modern science alone to explain the true nature of existence. Comfortable both in nature and in the city, I practice as an urban shaman with frequent interludes in the wilderness. I regularly engage in self-directed wilderness solos and lead individuals and groups in exploring the leadership lessons to be found in nature and through spirit.
